The older I get the less satisfied I am

about this life
with where I'm headed
with who I am becoming.

The more I learn about the world

the more ignorant I wish I was
the more I hate the US government
the less I enjoy looking forward.

The more I sit at this desk job

the slower time slips by
the faster the weeks turn into years
the easier boredom becomes a state of mind.

The older I get

the more I learn
the more I hate
the less I enjoy.
